SAPAR Rideouts

Advanced Riding in Action and Great Days Out!

SAPAR has a Social Rideout on the first Sunday of each month.
Members and non-members are welcome to come along and join us. These rideouts are a great way for members to get to know each other. Non-members can use these days out to see the advanced system of biking at first hand, to learn about the group and hopefully decide to join us as a member. A typical run will cover from 130 to 170 miles. We employ the "Second Man Drop Off" system to mark the route and keep the group together. Also, the use of a "Back-Marker" who never overtakes anyone ensures that there is no pressure on anyone to ride outside their personal comfort zone.

Occasionally we also have longer runs, in addition to the regular monthly trips, and these always include regular stops to prevent fatigue. These will be advertised here.

29th August - 09:00 Arrive for 09:30 - Extra Social Rideout arragned by Marion Versluijs

I am organising a social ride for the August BH weekend. It'll be a comparatively short ride, at a 'peaceful' pace with a flowery destination. I am thinking of a 9:30 for 10am start in Telford. I'll take us via North Shropshire, Staffordshire to the coffee shop in the David Austin Rose Garden in Albrighton, sometime between midday and 1pm. In case you've not heard of the place, it is the national HQ for a very well known breeder of English roses. The display garden is small, but incredibly beautiful and entry is free. http://www.davidaustinroses.com/english/Advanced.asp?PageId=1912
Depending on numbers, I'll start at my place with a brew or at Wylie & Hollands. Therefore, it would be helpful if people could email me if they are thinking of coming along. marionvers@hotmail.com
