Rideouts

SAPAR Rideouts

Advanced Riding in Action and Great Days Out!

SAPAR has a Social Rideout on the first Sunday of each month.

Members and non-members are welcome to come along and join us. These rideouts are a great way for members to get to know each other. Non-members can use these days out to see the advanced system of biking at first hand, to learn about the group and hopefully decide to join us as a member. A typical run will cover from 130 to 170 miles. We employ the "Second Man Drop Off" system to mark the route and keep the group together. Also, the use of a "Back-Marker" who never overtakes anyone ensures that there is no pressure on anyone to ride outside their personal comfort zone.

Occasionally we also have longer runs, in addition to the regular monthly trips, and these always include regular stops to prevent fatigue.

These will be advertised here.

Please arrive as detailed below for the pre-run briefing and prompt departure. We look forward to seeing you

Monthly Rides now start from Montford Bridge A5 picnic area.

IF YOU INTEND TO EAT AT THE CAFE BEFORE THE RUN PLEASE ALLOW ENOUGH TIME TO EAT AND THEN BE READY FOR THE BRIEFING AT 9.20.

Next Ride out: Sunday 3rd June 2012

9.00 Arrive for 9.30 Start - Monthly Rideout.

SAPAR are the local RoSPA motorcycle group for Shropshire and Powys - Our aim is to provide advanced motorcycle tutoring up to Gold standard advanced level. Tutoring is provided by RoSPA approved Tutors and is aimed at anyone who is interested in improving the standard of their motorcycle riding. When you ride with SAPAR tutors, or are on a group ride-out, or other SAPAR or RoSPA related activity or event, an absolute condition is that you are responsible for your own riding. You must be in control of your motorbike at all times. Your motorbike must be fully road legal, including insurance, tax, with an MoT if required. You must have a driving licence and insurance valid for the machine that you ride. While advice may be given by SAPAR tutors, it is your decision whether to act on this advice or not. Ensuring safety for yourself and of others is entirely your responsibility. SAPAR, its committee and tutors, and RoSPA will accept no liability for accidents or damage however caused which occur as a result of your riding.
