Glyn Emyr Jones - Funeral

Was held at Telford Crematorium on Monday 12th August 2019

Members and some ex members of SaPAR met at the 2 Henrys pub at Battlefield in Shrewsbury and made their way to the home of Flossie and Glyn. Another small contingent of tutors escorted the motorcycle hearse and Glyn from Market Drayton to their home. The funeral procession which by then had grown to 28 bikes then made its way via the A41 and A5 to the crematorium at Telford.

The service was held by SaPAR member Mike Kinna with addresses given by Ricky Balshaw (who was helped in his riding career by Glyn) and our Chairman Bill Croxon.

After the service all attendees were invited to take refreshments with Flossie and friends at the Marquee Room, Shropshire Golf Club.

Donations to Midlands Air Ambulance to date are £530.00 – Thank you.

Thank you for making Glyn’s funeral a memorable event. Thanks to those of you who took part in Glyn’s last ride and came to the funeral. I’m sorry I could not speak to all of you. Thanks to those who were unable to attend but were there in spirit. Thanks to all of you who wrote to me, sent cards and messages. Thanks to Bill for organising and speaking and Ken for the tribute, photos and videos on the web site. Thanks for the lovely wreath; very appropriate. Thanks to Mike Kinna for the funeral service. Lots of people have said what a good one it was. Thank you for your donations to the Midland Air Ambulance whether given at the funeral or sent direct. MAA have offered to send someone to collect the £400 from the funeral. Thank you for being part of Glyn’s life.
